As we hunker down for the post holiday stretch of winter, come in from the cold and take a trip to the other side of the Earth. The samovars are hot, the dumplings are cooking and we are going to take a deep dive into the world of Anton Chekhov, a Russian playwright and short-story master known for his subtle, compassionate portrayals of human nature and for transforming modern drama. We will look at the history and world that was happening around his major works as well as major productions and film adaptations.
