What words do you use to describe yourself? Are you "old" or "mature"? You may think one little word can't make much of a difference. Yet, if everyone in your community, in your state, in your nation, changes the way they spoke about aging, perhaps it would change the way you felt about yourself, the way you were treated by others in later life, and the way we as a nation approach aging well. The 2025 theme for Older Americans Month is Flip the Script, focusing on transforming how society perceives and approaches aging. Lise will lead an exploration of the complexities of growing older and how to adopt new tools - and new perspectives - for better long-term health and wellbeing. Lise LaPoint Jameson is a licensed clinical social worker and has practiced social work for over 40 years. She is a Founder and the Executive Director of At Home in Greenwich Inc. Lise loves to read, bike, watch the Rox Sox and sing.
